Frequently Asked Questions

Things we get asked a lot

Your first few sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know each other, explore what has brought you to therapy, develop an understanding of what you would like support with and ensure we are the right fit for your needs. We’ll work together to identify your goals and find an approach that feels right for you. There’s no expectation to have everything figured out - we can take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Sessions can occur in-person, via phone and via video.

If you prefer a phone session, your psychologist will call you at the time of your appointment.

If you prefer a video session, a video link will be sent to you. Make sure you have a private space to talk and a secure Wi-Fi connection

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to how often you need to attend therapy. We generally recommend weekly or fortnightly sessions initially, as this gives us an opportunity to get to know each other, establish your goals and build momentum.

As we progress, we can adjust how often we meet depending on what you need, what works with your schedule and what is financially comfortable for you.

We look forward to seeing you at your scheduled appointment, however we understand that sometimes life gets in the way.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for 24 hours notice. This gives us the opportunity to offer your appointment time to another person who may be in need of support.

A $110 late notice fee applies to appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice.

We understand that unexpected circumstances happen and fees may be waived at our discretion in exceptional circumstances.

We provide psychological support for people aged 15 and above.

Appointments are currently available on Thursdays from 1:30pm – 5:30pm and Saturdays from 8:30am – 11:30am.

We aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours and look forward to hearing from you.

Several shared parking bays are available directly in front of the practice. If these bays are occupied, additional short-term parking is available behind the neighbouring businesses along Canning Highway. Street parking is also available on Holman Street between Latham Street and North Lake Road, just a short walk from the practice.
