Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

No — you don’t need a referral to see us. You can get in touch with Resilience HQ and book an appointment directly.

If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on your sessions. If you don’t have a MHTP, that’s completely okay — you can still book an appointment, but the full appointment fee will be payable out-of-pocket.

How does a MHTP work?

A MHTP allows you to claim rebates from Medicare for 10 sessions per calendar year.

Your GP can provide a referral for an initial 6 sessions. After these sessions, you can return to your GP for a re-referral for a further 4 sessions.

Fees:

A standard 50 minute session: $220

An extended 75 minute session: $330

Medicare rebates:

Rebate with a MHTP: $101.55 per session

Private health insurance rebates:

If you have private health insurance with psychology included in your extras cover, you may be eligible to claim a rebate for your sessions. Rebates vary depending on your insurer and level of cover, so we recommend checking with your provider to confirm your eligibility.
